Education plays an important role in promoting gender equality. One of the aspects of gender equality in education is consideration and integration of the gender dimension into the content of learning and research.
Despite prioritization (e.g. within the ERA), little progress has been made in this area (Palmén et al., 2022). This study focuses on the educational policies of the Czech Republic and Ireland and analyzes the documents that address the topic of gender dimension in the content of teaching at the tertiary education level.
The study investigates in which documents this topic appears, what measures are taken to integrate the gender dimension into the teaching content, and whether and how the topic is processed and conceptualized in the documents.
