Abstract

Anonymized data on all mothers in Czechia for 2018 taken from the National Register of Expectant Mothers was employed. The risk of cesarean delivery for the observed factors was tested via the construction of a binary logistic regression model that allowed for adjustments for all the other covariates in the model.

The caesarean rate in 1994 was 10,3%, it increases more than twice in 2018 (23,6%). Average age of mothers in 1989 was 24,8 years, and average age of primiparous women was 22,5.

In 2018 it was 30,1 respectively 24,8 years. It indicates continuous growing of mother's age, which is followed by caesarean rates.

Higher caesarean rate is observed in all age categories
