Abstract
The presentation at the 53rd summer doctoral school dealt with several observations that the author made while teaching financial literacy at the Faculty of Education of Charles University, in particular how future teachers use mathematical concepts in the financial decisions and how well they understand certain financial issues (inflation, the relationship between return and risk of an investment product etc.).
