Teachers' and students' opinions on physics textbooks

Abstract

The contribution focuses on obtaining feedback from students and teachers on science textbooks. A literature search was conducted to answer two questions: How are teachers' and pupils' views on science textbooks obtained? And what should a good science textbook look like? The search determined the most common methods used to obtain teachers' and students' opinions on textbooks and found several tools for textbook analysis.

We will use the information obtained during the literature search to create our own tool for getting feedback on a new high school physics textbook which is being developed at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University in Prague.
