Abstract
For two years now, the Central European Digital Media Observatory (CEDMO) has been at the forefront of cutting-edge interdisciplinary research in the region of Central Europe. At the occasion of Fighting Misinformation Online: Strengthening Media Literacy in CEE - a conference held under the auspices of European University Institute, Google, and Youtube, in Bratislava - Michal Šenk, a researcher at CEDMO, gave a speech in which he detailed the work the organization he represented has been doing in the area of combatting disinformation.
Focusing on the issue of elections in the region, the speaker highlighted processes and dynamics observed at the time in relation to the soon-to-be-held Slovak parliamentary elections, demonstrating the value added of CEDMO's integrated approach to research.
