Abstract
Research is being carried out at the Faculty of Education of the Charles University aimed at increasing the success rate of pupils in solving word problems. It is based on the cross-curricular connection of mathematics and the Czech language with an emphasis on the development of pupils' skills in the area of mathematical, reading and language literacy.
The article will present the project and emerging Methodology through the prism of Czech language didactics and will provide basic information about the current state of the Methodology based on ongoing pilot projects.
