Abstract
An extensive review discusses the translation techniques used by Patrik Ouředník to highlight the unique stylistic diversity of Rabelais's Pantagruel. Among them, we can mention in particular the abundant use of sound figures-patterns, the hybridization of stylistic registers, as well as unusual word-forming procedures.
The review provides a detailed analysis of selected parts of the translation and it served as a basis for awarding the Josef Jungmann Prize for 2022.
