Limits and Possibilities of the Law Enforcement During the Riots of 1897

Abstract

The paper looked at the 1897 riots from a law enforcement perspective. In particular, it looked at how the interaction between "street" and the police/soldiers affected the dynamics with which demonstrations and riots took place in the late 19th century.
