Intellectual transfers and detentions on the márgin of the Atlantic World: American anthropology in the Czech Lands, beginning of the 20th century

Abstract

The text aspires at understanding the mechanisms of intellectual comunication, the introduction and re-elaboration of ideas, concepts and focuses, both within the "exotic" scientific disciplines and within the processes of ethnic/national autoidentification in the Central European Region, on the basis of two case studies of Czech travelers.
