Abstract

The article is devoted to the phenomenon of regional fashion or regional gastronomy. It draws attention to the transformation of gastronomy over time and the adoption of ingredients and recipes for food preparation from high social classes.

Furthermore, on the example of the Czech Republic, also on the consequences of food imports from America for folk gastronomy. In terms of time, the article belongs to the 19th and the first half of the 20th century.
