Publication

Abstract

The workshop is organized to commemorate the 151st anniversary of the discovery of the cave sanctuary with the burial site of the elites of the Bull Rock in the Moravian Karst by Heinrich Wankel in 1872. The aim of the workshop is a practical meeting with the exchange of creative experience in the field of prehistoric crafts (bronzing, carpentry, textile production, blacksmithing, etc.), clothing and the creation of food and beer.

The event includes a presentation of scientific research on herbal millet beer from the Hallstatt period, discovered on the basis of chemical and pollen analyses directly in the cave. This beer was scientifically reconstructed and discussed and presented to the public for the first time at the event.

Expert presentations were made in the cave, and additional living history reconstruction activities were presented. The event and the presentation of the beer also received considerable media coverage (press, radio).
