Abstract
The Czech Catholic Mission in Chicago said its last goodbye to its oldest (ninety-seven) member. The article is a biography of a native of the Moravian-Slovakian border (Sudoměřice), a refugee after 1948 from communist Czechoslovakia, who after a stay in Austrian refugee camps spent nine years in Canada and until his death was an active member of Czech American organizations and volunteer at compatriot events in Chicago.
