Donations for export permits during the "time of oppression" and the question of their restitution in the Czech Republic

Abstrakt
The article contains both an overview of the historical legal regulation and donation practice in the process of export permission with regard to artworks from the beginning of the so-called First Czechoslovak Republic to the end of the so-called "time of oppression" (i.e. until 4. 5. 1945) and a discussion of the problematic restitution hereof. The two parts mentioned above are subdivided into specific time periods.
In view of the ambivalent reception of the relevant case law in the Czech Republic, a partial comparison with Austrian restitution practice regarding donations for export permits is made.
