The aim of this chapter is to analyse the legislative regulation of employee protection in case of employer's insolvency from the point of view of practical problems that this regulation raises. At present, the most problematic issue appears to be the helplessness of employees of an insolvent employer who are unable to obtain the release of payroll documents and documents necessary for the exercise of their claims due to the "hiding" tactics of the payroll accountant who simply does not communicate, remains silent and makes the release of the necessary documents conditional on the prior payment of her services.
