The paper is dedicated to the translations of the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom made by missionaries in the territory of the Russian Empire in the 19th century into the following languages: Abkhazian, Altaic, Buryat, Chuvash, Yakut, Karelian, Komi, Mari, Tatar, Udmurt.
The reason for the origin of the translations and the influence of borrowings from Church Slavonic on the translation text are investigated. At the end was discussed of the presentation the liturgy in the minority languages of Russia at the present time.
