Abstract
The publication summarises the theoretical definition of social economy and social entrepreneurship, the history of their development and the current ecosystem of social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic, statistical data, employment of people with disabilities, and new and green trends in social entrepreneurship. It also contains examples of successful social enterprises in individual NUTS.
