On the basis of documents preserved in Czech, Spanish and Mexican archives, a more comprehensive, though far from definitive, picture of his personal life, career in the order and the phase of his life after the expulsion of the Jesuits from the Spanish territories, and after the dissolution of the Society of Jesus in 1773, has been compiled.
The paper is accompanied by a list of sources and secondary literature, of mostly foreign language, a map and illustrative photographs of the places where he lived and worked.
