Abstract

The aim of this lecture was to present the results of the study of the Guînes amber deposit in Pas de Calais (France). It describes the discovery, the importance of this deposit for the Final Bronze Age in France and Europe, and places this discovery within a broader vision of Bronze Age amber finds.

This lecture was also accompanied by an explanation of the study method for large quantities of raw amber, and of statistical results.
