Abstrakt
The contribution deals with the functioning of choirs in the Czech Republic during the COVID-19 pandemic. It presents the possibilities of online choir work during the different stages of the pandemic based on the example of the Czech choral community's activities.
Statements from various choirmasters show the extensive range of teaching methods and tools they use and the artistic effects of their work. The authors also discuss further training opportunities for choirmasters and other systemic activities undertaken for the benefit of the choral movement by Czech organisations such as the National Information and Advisory Centre for Culture (Národní informační a poradenské středisko pro kulturu - NIPOS), in particular its ARTAMA section for amateur artistic activities, and the nationwide Union of Czech Choirs (Unie českých pěveckých sborů).
