[-2]PROPSA: A HELPFUL MARKER IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF PROSTATE CANCER?

Publication

Abstract

[-2]proPSA is a fraction of free PSA that is released more from the peripheral zone of the prostate than from the transient zone, and the serum level is specifically higher in patients with prostate cancer (PC). Determination of the [-2]proPSA level is used to calculate the PHI, as a marker to refine the detection of significant KP.

The aim of the study was to compare [-2]proPSA levels related to the localization and size of KP according to mpMRI of the prostate and pT classification after robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP)
