Abstract
The book is the first purely Czech professional publication comprehensively addressing the area of anaesthesiology. It is primarily intended for doctors who are preparing for the specialization exam in anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine or who are already working in this field.
It will certainly be useful for undergraduate students interested in the field. After the great success of the first edition, the authors immediately decided to publish this second one, which has a new, clearer structure, is supplemented with new findings and contains 11 completely new chapters.
A comprehensive professional publication on anaesthesiology has been prepared by top Czech anaesthesiologists from various institutions. Individual topics and chapters were chosen to cover the entire spectrum of anaesthesia care to the extent appropriate and necessary for obtaining the qualification grad.
It also contains topics that are seemingly marginal, but complement and illustrate the complex issues of anaesthesia care in our conditions.
