Abstract
The paper deals with the possibilities of using the electronic control system by law enforcement agencies, not only in connection with the control of house arrest, but also in relation to other possibilities of using the monitoring of convicts and accused persons provided at the legislative level. He points to the fact that the intended purpose of the legislator in adopting legislation enabling effective continuous control of the monitored person has long encountered practical problems of its actual implementation, which resulted in the abandonment of its use.
