The main aim of the lecture is to introduce the newly proposed functional concept of interconnecting mathematical, reading and language literacy in primary schools through word problems and to help pupils in solving word problems. The output of the TAČR project is a Methodology which describes in detail how to work with four non-traditional types of word problems. Part of the work with the word problems is the development of pupils' metacognitive strategies. In this talk, the focus will be on introducing one type of word problems called Incomplete Strategies.
