Parabola in a square grid and its use across school levels and topics

Abstrakt

We will present several connections of a parabola in a square grid across different topics in school mathematics. Such topics include geometry, algebra of integer numbers, number theory, and calculus.

We will show experiments with a parabola on an extended geoboard. We will also open a discussion on appropriate applications, didactical methods, and tools regarding the school levels.
