Abstract
The book The maths of life and derath by Kit Yates,published under the title Mathematics for Life and Death - Why Mathsd is (alost) everything , translated by Mark Pechla and published by KNIHA Zlín, is presented on two levels, the review traces the mathematical content in different contexts of the publication, but also evaluates the book in terms of different types of usability in the teaching process at different levels of education. .
