Abstract

The introduction deals with how the concept of generalization has developed in mathematics didactics and other fields. Subsequently, the approaches to generalization in mathematics are developed and the differences in the process of generalization in mathematical activities, in solved problems are shown.

Different degrees of generalization are shown by comparing the case studies.
