Visual assessment of structural MR imaging in epilepsy

Abstract

In this review article, we present general information regarding potential causes of drug-resistant epilepsy and structural brain evaluation in epileptology using magnetic resonance imaging. The different types of epileptogenic lesions of focal cortical dysplasia and findings in temporal lobe epilepsy are summarized.

The article includes chapters ad- dressing the process of visual assessment of MR images in patients with epilepsy.
