Abstract
The discussion centred on the book Judicial Law-Making and Judicial Interpretation in Civil Law Legal Systems, which was published by Wolters Kluwer in 2021. The seminar was held in collaboration with the Czech Association for the Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy, with attendance from three distinguished professors from Austria.
These were Professor Michael Thaler of the University of Salzburg, Professor Michael Potacs of the University of Vienna, and Professor Ewald Wiederin, also from the University of Vienna. The discussants provided their critical comments on the individual contributions to the collective monograph, and the authors then presented the main ideas of their chapters and further developed their ideas presented in the above-mentioned edited book.
