Abstract

The chapter summarizes the development of the German agrarian institutional background and political partisanship in Cisleithania and places it within the broader ideological, economic and social development of the final phase of the Habsburg monarchy. It explains the specifics of the German rural environment and offers a comparison with the national Czech environment.
