Sinonasal adenocarcinomas (SNAC) are classified as salivary and non-salivary adenocarcinomas. Non-salivary type adenocarcinomas encompass a wide spectrum of intestinal-type adenocarcinoma (ITAC) and non-intestinal type adenocarcinoma (non-ITAC).
Non-ITACs are rather low-grade lesions potentially originating from seromucinous structures. The molecular genetic background of such lesions is pleomorphic and inconsistent.
