ng. Eduard Bazika (1830 - 1914) is still an underappreciated figure in the field of Czech technical work.
His Memoirs, stored in the Archives of the National Technical Museum in Prague, adequately fill this gap, as they contain valuable information from his more than forty years of work at the private State Railway Company and almost twenty years of activity at the Railway Council of the Land Committee of the Kingdom Bohemia, for which he assessed essentially all projects of local railways in Bohemia. In these key positions, he was an actor in the decisive phase of railway construction in the Czech lands and in the Habsburg monarchy.
