Abstract
The aim of the article is to present the Mediterranean region in terms of political instability. It is manifested in various forms, from social problems, through anti-government protests, revolutions, to tendencies of regionalism, separatism, and armed conflicts.
The political development of the region is described in the context of significant geopolitical events such as the global financial crisis, the Arab Spring, and the migration crisis.
