Abstract
Flow cytometry makes it possible to determine the amount, developmental line, degree of maturity and normality of cells of hematopoietic origin through the detection of specific molecules expressed on the cytoplasmic membrane, in the cytoplasm or in the cell nucleus. This process, referred to as immunophenotyping, is now an essential part of diagnostic procedures in hemato-oncology.
