A new species of Odochilus Harold, 1877 (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Aphodiinae) from Sulawesi with a world checklist of the genus

Abstract

Odochilus (Odochilus) sulawesiensis sp. nov. - from North Sulawesi, Indonesia, is described and illustrated. The new species seems to be morphologically most similar to O. (O.) setosus Boucomont, 1914 and O. (O.) parasetosus with which it has been compared.

A checklist of all Odochilus Harold, 1877 species is provided.
