Abstract
This year, we are celebrating a major milestone for this special issue - the 20th anniversary! For the last two decades, a series of special issues has focused on the fundamental aspects of electrophoresis and derived techniques. Interestingly, the theoretical background of electrophoresis can be described by elegant equations, which can be solved by mathematical and computational tools.
It is an attractive challenge for scientists, and we are delighted that for the last 20 years these special issues on Fundamentals of Electrophoresis have formed a platform for their publications.
