INVARIANT NKT CELLS CULTURED IN IL2 OR IL15 COULD BE USED AS REGULATORS OF POST-TRANSPLANT COMPLICATIONS

Abstract

Invariant NKT cells (iNKTs) are rare lymphocytes interacting with the cells of innate and adaptive immunity. They can support both pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory responses and help to regulate the proper immune reaction.

Therefore, the application of ex vivo expanded iNKTs seems to be promising to regulate complications after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). The study aimed to monitor iNKTs in HSCT patients and compared two cytokines for their activation.
