Abstract
The number of students with specific needs at Czech universities is growing every year. Charles University is no exception and also belongs among the universities with the highest number of these students in the Czech Republic.
The representation of students with specific needs fluctuates within its faculties whereas the Faculty of Education is among the faculties with the highest number of such students. The Faculty of Education responds to the growing number of students with specific needs by increasing the level of support, which is concentrated in a central workplace, but at the same time, in order to make its operations more efficient, it provides support through various channels so that students can draw on it to the extent and in the manner that is the best for them, and at the same time regularly evaluates and adjusts its services according to the needs of students.
This paper is dedicated to the description of support implemented at the Faculty of Education for the benefit of students with specific needs and it also brings findings from the latest evaluation survey conducted among students with specific needs.
