Abstract
The paper was focused on the presentation of the new diagnostic battery of literacy skills PorTex, which was created and standardized as part of the TAČR project at the Department of Psychology PedF UK. The theoretical starting points, the structure of the material and the possibilities of using diagnostic tools were presented, in which a comprehensive approach to diagnosis is reflected (from prerequisites for the development of reading literacy, through decoding and understanding of texts to personality and environmental influences that influence the development of literacy skills).
