Abstract
Disciplinary punishment of attorneys at law by the Czech Bar Association is one of the guarantees of the proper practice of advocacy. The client-lawyer relationship is based on the client's trust in the professional approach of the attorney at law.
Therefore, the protection of the client's rights and interests must necessarily be ensured not only by the possibility to compensate the client for the damage incurred, but also by disciplinary punishment by the professional chamber. The aims of this theme is to describe selected issues of disciplinary liability of lawyers and the consequences of violation of the rules of professional ethics of attorneys at law in the Czech Republic.
