The paper is devoted to the experience of the Academic Counseling Office of the Faculty of Pedagogy of Charles University in providing counseling services for students in the field of mental health support. We reflect on the possibilities of individual or group work with students, forms of support from the university (student status with special needs).
We identify sensitive and critical points of counseling for students with psychological problems and, last but not least, we also focus on expanding the awareness of the needs of this group of students among university pedagogues, and the activities and services of our workplace are also aimed at them. The aim of the communication is to show an example of good practice and at the same time to warn about deficits in the field of other counseling services for this group of students who are at risk of early graduation.
