Abstract
Review of the Czech edition of the book Znepokojivé Slovanství by the prominent Polish literary historian Maria Janion. The book presents a comprehensive analysis of Polish romanticism of the 19th century, which is further elaborated into the formation of the image and identity of Central Europe, or into Poland's modern relationship with partners and potential rivals in this area.
