Introduction of a straight line in analytical geometry

Abstract

The paper presents an alternative approach to introduction the analytical expression of a straight line in a plane in school mathematics, i.e., in the order linear form - general equation - parametric expression, and its verification in practice. It turned out that this approach does not have a negative impact on the understanding of the topic, and its contribution could be better continuity with the students' previous knowledge.
