The effect of speech intelligibility on the timing of speech therapy intervention in children with developmental language disorder

Abstract

The paper describes the relationship between the degree of speech intelligibility impairment and the age at which speech therapy intervention was initiated in children with developmental dysphasia. It places the issue in the context of the difficulties in language skills that are the essence of the diagnosis of developmental language disorder.
