Abstract
Society, government and private individuals are increasingly relying on technology and the digital information space to conduct their business, resulting in a complex environment with many cyber threats. Cybersecurity is thus very important for the prosperity and security of society as a whole, which has been reflected in the adoption of a wide range of legislation and policies in recent years.
In terms of number, scale and sophistication, cyber threats are growing in number and in their impact on networks and information systems. Cyber incidents can affect the functioning of the economy, cause significant financial damage and undermine user confidence.
Cybersecurity is therefore one of the key factors for the proper functioning of the internal market and its role is important to reap the widest possible benefits of the digitalisation and digital transformation process.
