Abstract

This book examines the position of the consumer in insurance distribution in the digital age. Specifically, it describes what all influences the consumer's position and whether this position is adequate for insurance distribution in the digital world.

The pandemic has not kick-started the transformation to the digital environment, but has only accelerated it. Individual insurers were already trying to sell through the digital environment before it.

And this has not always been entirely "clean". In the past, of course, these mistakes were also associated with the normal "face to face" sales process.

As the biggest misconduct in the past has been associated with investment life insurance, the paper does not forget the question of how the consumer fares compared to the regulation of capital markets business.
