Patients often come to the general practitioner's office with acute problems that require a quick decision. The book includes a complete overview of acute conditions that the general practitioner may encounter during his practice, while he often has only limited diagnostic tools at his disposal and must rely on a basic physical examination and history taking.
Individual chapters are devoted to acute conditions in internal medicine, surgery, neurology, gynecology and obstetrics, urology and other fields. There is also a chapter on cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
