A relevance of Orthodox Christian thinking in a postmodern realm will be here approached from a hermeneutical standpoint. The presentation will have three parts.
In the first two parts the touching points between two partners in a dialogue (Orthodoxy, hermeneutics) will be presented, with a special focus on a similarities and dissimilarities, in past and presence. Examples will be given, with a critical appraisement.
The presentation will in its third part further try to answer if a post-modern context (in comparison with modernity) brought an environment unique enough to overcome centuries-long disparities between Orthodoxy and Western thinking.
