Abstract
The lecture focuses on the life story of Karel Statečný (1870-1927), who played a significant role as an apologist, fundamental and moral theologian at the seminary in České Budějovice, and who after his leaving the Catholic Church became one of the creators of the theology of the Czechoslovak Church. This lecture attempts to answer the question of how Statečný's theology changed after his conversion to the Czechoslovak Church and what elements of his theological reflections still remain in that Church.
