Abstract
The lecture formulates a hypothesis of religious waves that hit society at irregular intervals. Based on the reflections of Karel Statečný, it shows that churches should respond to these waves in a progressive way by trying to understand current social trends.
It analyzes the current debate on the possibility of blessing same-sex couples on the grounds of churches as one of the manifestations of the religious wave and suggests possible solutions.
