Abstract
Under the leadership of MUDr. Alena Šebková's third book of case studies from practice has been prepared by a wide group of authors. Due to the broad differential diagnostic scope of general practitioners for children and adolescents, the book is once again full of really interesting cases - not only from the practice of PLDD, but also from the environment of hospitals or outpatient specialists, which confirms the needs and advantages of interdisciplinary cooperation.
The authors use 33 specific and very interesting cases to shed light on the issue of various diseases in children, emphasizing the importance of early recognition and treatment of various diseases. Within the individual case reports, the reader is familiar with the anamnesis, the examination performed and the determination of the diagnosis, the pathogenesis, differential diagnostic assessment and the treatment algorithm are described as part of the communication. The reader will become familiar with the significance of the presented case report, possibly also with the future fate of the patient. The messages are supplemented with pictures, diagrams and links to Czech and foreign literary sources.
The book is intended for all doctors who deal with diseases or related issues of childhood.
